Hi, I’m Sam, the artist behind Mother Mold Studio. Before becoming a mother, I was a professor and professional artist specializing in sculpture and life casting. Over the years, I had the incredible opportunity to work across the U.S. and internationally, casting animals and exploring the intricate details of the natural world. This deep experience in the art of life casting laid the foundation for my work today.

My journey took a deeply personal turn when I cast my own son at just three weeks old. That moment — the preservation of such a fleeting, precious stage of his life — sparked something profound within me. What started as a way to capture his early moments has since evolved into a passion for helping other families preserve their own special memories through one-of-a-kind sculptures.

At Mother Mold Studio, I combine my years of experience in life casting with a mother’s touch to create detailed, custom sculptures that tell your story.
